Amazing Love

Luke 15:11-32

O the overwhelming Love of Christ
Wide as the ocean, we can never find the end of it
Reaching to the deepest darkness
it brings in gracious light
A Love that turns the vilest offender into a saint
We can never get tired of speaking of thy love
Love ever watching and ever waiting
Love that took our dark estate and gave us His glorious estate
O Lord may my life be filled with this Love
That all-around me may see this Love and be drawn closer to this Love

On to Perfection

  Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith towards God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.  - Hebrews 6:1-3 When a child is born, there is an expectation for the child to grow up and someday become an adult. The child is also to exhibit some characters of the parent. The course of nature sees to that. In a few cases, however, this expectation is not met. As Christians, our Lord Jesus also expects us to grow and become perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48). You might then say how can one be perfect if Jesus said no one is good, save one, that is God (Luke 18:19). We shall see Him in glory

As the cloud covers the sun So, we see Him now Just a little glimpse of His glory we see And oh, how marvelous and glorious it is.   Oh, what greater joy it is to know that the clouds would not forever cover the sun so also, we would not forever just see little glimpses of His glory   What blessed day it will be when we will behold Him as He is in glory when the clouds are forever lifted up.   Oh, my precious Jesus, how I long for that day when the dark clouds of unknowing will be forever lifted up and I'll see you as you are   Hallelujah Glory to God in the highest for such marvelous hope He has given unto me His beloved
